Currently, IPTE at HQ level in Genk has an exceptional opportunity for a: Technical Purchaser.

Functie

Role

As a Technical Purchaser, you will take responsibility for the operational purchase process of a specific segment of the product range, with the majority of parts to be purchased being determined on a project basis.
You research the market, negotiate with suppliers, prepare requests for quotations, and, through your strong negotiation skills, can achieve optimal prices without compromising on quality and delivery times.
If necessary, you search for possible alternative materials and solutions, working closely with fellow project leaders.
You monitor supplier performance and ensure that systems remain up-to-date: maintenance of supplier data, creation of order confirmations, maintenance of logistical parameters, etc.
You report to the Purchasing Manager.

Functie eisen

Profile

You have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in electromechanics or mechanics, or you can demonstrate equivalent and relevant work experience, ideally within a project-based (fine) technical production environment.
You are proficient in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings.
You are a results-oriented negotiator, analytically strong, and willing to take responsibility and make decisions.
You are proficient with MRP systems (in this case Navision).
You speak excellent English
